Accounts Receivable Clerk

Department: Business Office

Direct Report: Denise Edmondson (Director of Operations)

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (Thursday & Friday - Remote Days)

I. Purpose of the Job:
The Accounts Receivable Clerk is an entry-level position and plays a vital role within Daystar Church. They are responsible for ensuring accurate and timely management of the Lord’s tithes and offerings while maintaining a strong sense of confidentiality and financial integrity.

II. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the weekly deposit process and team.

  • Maintain inventory of journal entry slips, deposit books, and bank bags

  • Assist with the management of online giving platforms & contribution management software

  • Complete an extensive weekly deposit analysis

  • Entry of deposit into the accounting system

  • Entry of weekly deposits into appropriate data sheets

  • Communication to Ministries of designated donations

  • Responsible for pulling weekly designated reports

  • Preparation of yearly contribution statements & contributor addresses kept up to date

  • Respond to inquiries regarding contributions and/or payments

  • Special projects
