ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT TO THE SMALL GROUP AND DISCIPLESHIP DIRECTOR
Job Title: Administrative Assistant to the Small Group and Discipleship Director
Direct Report: Small Group and Discipleship Director
Classification: Full Time | Sunday - Thursday
Position Summary
This full-time role supports the vision of Daystar Church by managing the administrative
systems that drive Small Groups, Next Steps, Planning Center, and the One Step Closer vision.
Ideal for someone organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping people grow in their
faith, this position works closely with the Discipleship Director to ensure systems are clear,
consistent, and effective.
Key Responsibilities
● Planning Center: Coordinate requests, maintain clean data, manage workflows and
imports, support staff/Dream Team training, troubleshoot issues
● Next Steps: Organize leader training, manage materials and inventory, track attendance
and ensure workflow completion/data entry.
● One Step Closer: Maintain spreadsheets, provide reporting support, manage supplies
and ownership of follow up processes
● Small Groups: Assist with training, group launches, attendance tracking, data entry,
Freedom tasks, and semester transitions.
● General Admin: Manage calendars, budgets, projects, and cross-campus
communication; attend meetings and support events
Skills & Experience
● Strong organization, communication, and multitasking
● Self-motivated and able to work independently
● Relational, dependable, and detail-focused
● Effective time and project management
● Confident using spreadsheets
● Comfortable building systems and processes
● Experience in data entry and team support
● Planning Center knowledge is a bonus
